How to Order from BookMakers

 We welcome your order by phone, fax, mail, e-mail, or carrier pigeon.  

Please be sure to read the fine, but important, print on our POLICIES page, for information on delivery methods and times, returns, damage, payment methods, pricing, discounts, etc.

Please use our ORDER FORM or your own, but be sure to include all necessary information, see below.

For your security, when emailing or faxing an order, we are happy to call you after we have received the order to get your credit card information.  Given the recent proliferation of identity theft, we don’t mind taking this extra step to ensure that your credit card numbers don’t fall into the wrong hands.

We would love to hear from you during our normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 10 to 5.  However, if it is difficult for you to phone during those hours, please leave messages or orders, 24 hours a day, on our answering machine.  Be sure to leave a phone number and time we can contact you if we have questions about your order.

  •  Please use our convenient landing site, “Gutenbird Landing”, across the road near the Gosling Pond.

  • OPPS...we moved and are no longer adjacent to the Gosling Pond.   Instead, you can bike to us, via the Gutenbird Trail, also known as the Trolly Trail, just outside our front door.

    • institutions with prior credit arrangements:  net 30 days  

    • individuals (including small businesses), one of the following:

      • Credit Card:  We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.  Please note, as stated on our order form, that we recommend that you don’t put your credit card number on your faxed or emailed order.  Just make sure you provide your phone number so we can call you for this.

      • Check:   We accept checks, in U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank, payable to BookMakers, to include the merchandise total, plus 15% for estimated shipping charges, and sales tax for Maryland (5%) and Washington, DC (5.75%) residents.

      • COD:  We will be happy to send your order via UPS COD.  Please be aware that this incurs an additional charge of $8.50 per package.  

      • Wire Transfer:  Please request bank details.
