Ranzan, the natural-colored base paper for Chiri, without the bark.  Used for the same techniques as Chiri speckled; both are also useful as decorative or text papers in Japanese styles of bookbinding.  Handmade in Japan of a mix of Kozo and sulphite.  4 deckle edges; acid free.

Lace Papers

Handmade in Japan of kozo and sulphite.  A featherweight sheet which resembles real lace.  By subjecting the newly-formed, wet sheet to a jet stream, a pattern of small holes is created on the paper after drying, this pattern creates a lace effect.  Often used for interleaving, as an overleaf, and for chine colle.  In black with gold/silver speckles or white with either a shell or a leaf pattern.  Acid-free except for the black; 10 gms

Mulberry

Handmade in Japan of kozo and sulphite.  Its name comes from he mulberry family, source of the kozo fiber.  It is very lightweight, yet strong and soft.  Very versatile - useful for block printing, etching, letterpress, silk-screening, hand lithography and chine colle.  4 deckle edges; acid free; white; 45 gms.

Unryu

Made in Japan.  A tissue-weight paper made of kozo and manila hemp, with long, thin, silky fibers running throughout the sheet, giving it a very decorative, translucent appearance.  suitable for letterpress printing, chine colle and silk-screening and also as flyleaf and end leaf applications.  4 deckle edges.
