Karawan Goatskin
Bookmakers, Inc. proudly offers the Karawan Goatskin range from Franz Hoffmann Fine Leathers of Stuttgart, Germany under direct license of BBWS of Long Island, New York. Franz Hoffmann Fine Leathers was established in 1925, and has built a solid reputation spanning 85 years for supplying extremely high quality bookbinding leathers. Karawan goatskins are semi-aniline and have a shrunken grain. Karawan only comes in grade 1. (*** is the color number from the color sample)

Hewit Chieftain Goatskin
The skins have a natural shrunken grain, similar to traditional Levant grain, with a natural polished finish. This leather is retanned with the addition of aluminum salts in order to produce an archival tannage with outstanding durability. The leather is aniline dyed and has a semi-transparent finish. Leather is approximately 2.5-oz, skins average 6.5 to 7.25 sq. ft. (** is the color number from the color sample)
